The vision for creating Open Routes came from my experiences living and working in post-Christian Europe. For 11 years, my wife and I worked as missionaries in Wales, United Kingdom.

Faced with a dying Christian presence in Wales, our eyes were opened to an increasing need for effective and relevant communication of Christ and Kingdom-centered realities.

I gradually became involved in creating media for Christian organizations and churches who were desperate to reach people that could not relate to the church environment in a post-Christian culture.

On our return to the USA in July 2005, I was challenged to consider how our work in Wales would relate to what I sensed God calling me to do in the USA.

So it is with a deep sense of gratitude to God for his sustaining faithfulness in my life, that I begin this venture. I don't know where it will lead, but as a simple pilgrim on a journey toward knowing and experiencing Christ, I hope to find creative ways to "chat" with others who find themselves on this incredible journey!

Together, perhaps, we can Open Routes so that others can be encouraged in knowing and experiencing the realty of the risen Christ in their lives.
